Municipal and Government
GIS
Geographic Information System, or GIS, is a map framework that includes information about your community like the location of stores, street names and locations of parks. Governments at all levels use GIS systems to track land use, land rights and ownership. When you consult your local municipality about a development in your neighbourhood, they are consulting a GIS.
Bennett Land Surveying Ltd. has conducted land and mapping surveys used within GIS systems for over 30 years. This work has been conducted in both urban and remote areas. All of our surveys form a part of our ongoing effort to ensure the public information we collect can be seamlessly integrated into our own and municipal GIS systems.
